Developing an award-winning Carbon Neutral roadshow strategy.

The Approach

The Bulb developed the sustainability strategy for the nationwide launch of Sky’s new television, Sky Glass. Sky Glass is the world’s first TV to be certified Carbon Neutral so it was important that the roadshow reflected the product’s sustainability credentials from design through to derig and across the supply chain. We worked closely with the Amplify team to address environmental considerations at each stage of the planning process, put a strategic framework in place with measurable goals and KPI’s and ensured that responsible decisions were taken when it came to procuring goods and services.

The Impact

  • Winner of the Best Sustainable Event at The Campaign Experience Awards 2023.
  • Sky’s first certified Carbon Neutral event, setting both an internal and external benchmark and industry best practice.
  • The Bulb created a four-pronged approach to sustainability, spanning all aspects of the project from planning, design and ideation through to implementation and roll out.
  • Aligned targets with Sky’s Bigger Picture strategy which outlines the client’s climate action goals, including the ambitious Sky Zero which will take the company to a net carbon footprint by 2030 across all offices and production studios.
