The Bulb Supports Alexandra Rose Charity and Catalyse Change CIC for 1% for the Planet

We are pleased to confirm that our chosen charities for our 2024 1% for the Planet membership are Alexandra Rose Charity and Catalyse Change CIC.

Alexandra Rose Charity:

“Our vision is for everyone to have access to healthy and affordable food. Our mission is to give families access to fresh fruit & vegetables in their communities.

“Through the Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project we give families the spending power to eat good food. We work directly with children’s centres and community organisations supporting families in need, alongside market traders, to provide weekly Rose Vouchers, which can be spent on fruit and veg at local markets.

“Evidence suggests that the first 1,001 days of a child’s life, from conception to age two, are the most important in setting their future life chances. This is why our Rose Vouchers for Fruit & Veg Project focuses on families with children aged four and under, as we want to ensure children get the best possible start in life.”

Catalyse Change CIC:

“Our mission is to provide young women and non-binary changemakers with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and connections they need to pursue sustainable careers. Sustainable and inclusive development is critical for a peaceful and prosperous world, and gender equity is key to achieving sustainability. At Catalyse Change we focus on ways to inspire, empower and upskill young women as the next generation of changemakers. Providing them with inspiration and knowledge ‘to be the change they wish to see’ in the world.”
