Selina Donald, Founder of The Bulb, joined Zoe Snow and Gary Beestons from Birmingham Ceremonies Ltd, to discuss the work that went into ensuring the Commonwealth Games ceremonies had sustainability built into the fabric of the shows, from the very start.
‘Birmingham Ceremonies Ltd was launched to deliver the 30,000-capacity opening and closing ceremonies of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. The aim of the joint venture, formed by Gary Beestone Associates (GBA) and Done+Dusted, was to create efficiencies in the event production process while setting the creative bar high for the opening and closing ceremonies.’
